From Salmon Salvo
I am a software consultant providing expertise in open source, .Net, GIS (Geographic Information Systems), Web and related technologies. My background is both in the private industry as a software developer for a leading IT/GIS company and in the public sector as a developer for both the City of Tallahassee and the Florida Department of Transportation.
I have recently started a map rendering framework for the .Net framework called cumberland. It also provides tools for non-.Net developers such as importing shapefiles into Sql Server 2008 and generating tiles suitable for overlaying on Google maps, Microsoft VirtualEarth, and OpenLayers. I frequently discuss this project in my blog.
If you would like to contact me, I can be reached through my gmail account which is scott.ellington (scott DOT ellington AT gmail DOT com)
